We had sunny weather and our largest team ever in High Park yesterday for our walk for Multiple Myeloma research at Princess Margaret Hospital! Even my doctor from Princess Margaret, Dr. Trudel, joined us. She commented on how many friends I have who are willing to support me, and it is really true. Thanks to my great team, and the people who sponsored them, this year we raised over $22,000 $25000!

Where does the money go? To groundbreaking research at PMH! At the walk, Dr. Trudel explained that one of the areas she is working on is determining the indicators that will show which tumours will respond to which medication. In the future, that might mean that the doctor will know from a simple test which treatments will be most effective, so patients will only be given the best options – which will beat down the disease faster but also minimize the numbers of side effects the patient has. This is your money at work, people! The future is now, we are getting better and better treatments, thanks to you.
