Cancer doesn’t take a break, and neither does Team Lorraine. Sponsor our walk to find a cure for Multiple Myeloma.
Lorraine was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma only days after giving birth to her third daughter. It was a devastating blow to us all since this rare form of cancer is not curable. But thanks to grassroots fundraising events like this, every dollar raised goes into research of Multiple Myeloma, improving the odds that Lorraine will be with us for many years to come! Lorraine is living proof that the advances in research and treatment are having a positive impact on improving the lives of those living with Multiple Myeloma.
On Sunday, June 21, 2020 we are participating in our 12th 5K Run/Walk to Conquer Cancer to raise funds for The Princess Margaret, one of the top five comprehensive cancer research hospitals in the world. New discoveries and innovative cancer therapies that are changing cancer care for patients globally are happening right here in Canada, at The Princess Margaret.
Lorraine enjoyed a long remission, thanks to the excellent treatment at Princess Margaret and a new experimental treatment. But her cancer is back and she is preparing for her next fight with Multiple Myeloma. It is unsure if the treatment will be as effective this time. Lorraine is a determined fighter, but she needs all of our help. We need to accelerate the search for a cure, not just for Lorraine, her husband and their three girls, but for all the other people living with the incurable Multiple Myeloma.
Please support our team and let’s help find a cure for Multiple Myeloma. Sponsor one of our team members or join Team Lorraine and ask your friends and family to sponsor you.
